FAQ

How Can I Donate to Florida Breast Cancer Foundation?
FBCF accepts donations of clothing and household items in the South Florida and Orlando.  To make a donation please schedule a pickup online or call toll free 1-888-492-4483.

What hours do you pick up ?
7:30am to 3pm, but most pick-ups are done before 1:00pm.

How should we pack the donations?
Please place your items in bags or boxes.

Should we label the donations?
It is not necessary to label your donations as long as they are clearly visible to our driver.

Do you leave a tax-receipt?
Yes. We will leave a tax receipt on your door-knob if you are not home.

How do we fill out the receipt?
It is an honor system based on “fair market” value. We only sign and date the receipt. You are responsible for estimating the value of your donations.  Please see the IRS guidelines for donations by clicking this link.

What do you do with the donations?
All the donations are sold and the proceeds are used to fund nearly a million dollars every year for breast cancer scientific research, education, and advocacy programs.

Do you take furniture and mattresses?
Yes, as long as they are in good, re-sellable condition.

What if it rains?
We pick-up rain or shine; please protect your items by leaving them under a covered area.

Should we leave it by the garage or out by the curb?
No, right outside your front door is best.

What if I live in a un-manned gated community and I have to run out?
When you schedule your pickup, please enter instructions in the field provided, or call us at 1-888-492-4483 and we will call the driver to let him know.
